Dear friends, as we watch another Wall Street Giant fall, we fail to realize what is happening behind the scenes until we see the news clips that show numerous employees exiting their workplace with those ever so humiliating brown boxes filled with all their personal possessions.
Well, my newest publication, The Last Box, A Women's Guide to Surviving Corporate America, by Susan Rae Baker, would be just what these poor souls could use right now. The Last Box depicts the exact same box they were carrying only mine was the last one that I allowed myself to carry. Unlike those who work for Lehman Brothers my reasons for exiting were caused by people and circumstance and not just poor management, executives pockets being filled with millions in salaries only to be topped off by a dollop of a few more million as a bonus each year, only to have the company declare bankruptcy.
As for AIG, I would be looking for any and every opportunity to look for another job before they take their great big loan , exhaust the funds and end up belly up, never having to pay back the Government in the long run. By the way, I do recall when I took my insurance licensing exam, that there is a plan in place for insurance companies that protect the insured in an event like this, so I am not sure why the Feds are giving them a leg up.
I urge you to encourage everyone you know in any size business to buy The Last Box. It is a Powerfully funny and thought provoking book that describes the personality types you meet in corporate or any size business. Those who you would aspire to be like and those who you should run from!! The Hidden Agenda Queen is my personal favorite!! And boys....there is no shame in reading this book, it's has become a favorite amongst it's male readers too! Available through all the major book retailers.
As I continue to blog, I hope to help many overcome their issues at work as this is what I do for a living as a Life and Business Coach. Looking forward to hearing from you. I promise to complete my blogging profile soon. Please visit me at http://www.future-endeavors.net/ .
